About Us

We are the members of Vaiden Baptist Church, and we believe the following:

1.  We believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God, and that it contains everything that a person needs to find eternal salvation, forgiveness from sin, and the direction needed to follow a Christ-centered lifestyle.

2.  We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

3.  We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and through His death and resurrection, we are able to have forgiveness for our sins.

4.  We believe that there is only one way to Heaven, eternal salvation, and forgiveness from sin, and that is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins.

5.  We believe that God's love for us knows no bounds, and He expects us to show that same love to our fellow man.

6.  We believe that a Christ-centered lifestyle begins with God's Plan of Salvation, and is developed through prayer, studying God's word, fellowship with other Christians, praise and worship, and sharing the message of God's grace and love with others.

7.  We believe in Acts 1:8, which states "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth".  We believe that God has commanded us to share His message to those in our communities, our counties, our state, our nation, and to the most remote locations on earth.

8.  We believe that all things are provided by God, and belong to God, and we are merely stewards of the blessings that God has given us.

9.  We believe that being a Christian is not just something that you do on Sunday mornings, but that a Christian must constantly strive to let God's will be done in our lives, in all things, at all times.

10.  Lastly, but most importantly, we believe in the power of prayer.  "“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6-7
